DheVeni helps single adults find a spouse through people who know them. This page says what we collect, why, who sees it, and how to delete it.

Who we are

What we collect

Data	Why
Google or Apple sign-in (name, email, account ID)	To create and secure your account.
A photo of your ID card	To confirm you are a real adult. We read your full name, date of birth and sex, then delete the image immediately. We keep a one-way code made from your ID number so the same ID can't open two accounts. We never store the ID number itself.
Profile: first name, age, sex, marital status, work, photo	So people in your circle can see who you are.
Location (when you tap "Use my location")	To show distance. Other people see only your area name and a rounded distance, never your exact location.
Your conversation with our AI interviewer	To write your profile summary and answer questions people ask about you. The conversation itself is private and never shown to anyone.
AI summary and matching answers (for example, whether you want children)	Shown on your profile (the summary) and used to rank matches.
Friends, vouches, interests, introductions	How the app works: who knows you, who vouches for you, who is interested.
Messages	Delivered to the person you were introduced to and to any guardian either of you adds.
Reports and blocks	To keep people safe.
Device push token	To send notifications you can turn off in your phone settings.

We do not collect your contacts, and we do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Who sees what

People within two steps of you (your friends and their friends), who are verified and nearby, can see your first name, age, work, area, distance, AI summary, who vouched for you, and your photo if you chose "Everyone".
People you match with can also see your photo, and can message you.
People you ask to vouch for you see your AI summary before they decide.
Nobody sees your ID card, full legal name, date of birth, exact location, email, or your AI conversation.

How we use AI

Our AI features are powered by Anthropic's Claude. Your ID image, interview answers, profile summary and questions about you are sent to Anthropic to be processed and returned to us. Anthropic acts as our service provider. Under its commercial terms, this data is not used to train its models. The AI can make mistakes: you review your summary before it is published and can ask for changes. The "honest note" in your summary cannot be removed. You can redo your interview at any time.

Service providers

Supabase: database, file storage and servers (Asia Pacific, Mumbai region).
Anthropic: AI processing.
Google and Apple: sign-in.
Expo: delivering push notifications.

We share data with authorities only when the law requires it or to protect someone's safety.

How long we keep it

ID images: deleted within seconds of being read.
Everything else: while your account exists.
When you delete your account, your profile, photos, interview, summary, vouches, friendships, interests, introductions and messages are deleted. Encrypted backups may keep a copy for up to 7 days.

Your choices

Edit your details, photo visibility, distance and age range in Me.
Switch off Available to stop appearing to anyone.
Block or report anyone from their profile or chat.
Delete your account in Me → Delete account. It is immediate and permanent.
Email us to get a copy of your data or to correct it.

Adults only

DheVeni is for people aged 18 and over. We check age from the ID card and do not knowingly hold data about anyone younger.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Access is restricted by database rules so each person can only reach what they are allowed to see. No system is perfect; if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
